What a blast yesterday was!  I loved getting to see all my little nuggets in their costumes, contributing to their sugar highs… Pic-Or-Treat is one of my favorite days of the year. 

I had so much fun… even if I had to turn the place into “Sears” portrait studio for the day. Ha. In case I haven’t mentioned to you guys – I am not a fan of editing white seamless backdrop paper… so, I decided that the kids were cute even if the edits weren’t perfect (or anywhere near it).  Play along with me, mkay?

And, here’s one I’m super proud of simply because Miss Charli initially was having NO part of Pic-Or-Treat then, suddenly, had a change of heart when she saw The Mad Hatter arrive!

Of course, this is all subject to change considering I’m only 1/32 of the way through editing their session. 

Somehow, I got lucky enough to photograph these 3 amazing families yesterday for day one of my Fall Mini Sessions!

This, in case you were curious, is what one might refer to as “photo overload”.  Not me.  But someone might.

First up – the fabulous Frederick family!

Then came the Tillmans…

And we rounded out the day with the Rowe family.

I sometimes have to pinch myself when I think about how lucky I am to get to photograph such great families with such beautiful kids… this is the bee’s knees.

Curious – all you moms/dads out there… do you playgroup? Do people even still do that? You’ll have to forgive me because my child is almost a teenager (sigh) so we’re out of the loop.

I love the things kids say.  Our session started out with Miss Aubrey and I discussing the dogs in the fence near where we were shooting.  She says to me, “If they smell strawberries, it’s because I’m wearing strawberry shampoo.”  Or, maybe it’s just because she & her little sister are that sweet.

Sweet Suki.  I have begged your momma for MONTHS to give you to me once you arrived.  Unfortunately (for  me, of course), she wouldn’t budge and she’s being all selfish and keeping you.  Oh well.  Maybe when you get older you will ask if you can come & live with me, wouldn’t that be fun? 

That last one really cracks me up… because I’m pretty sure this is big sis’ way of telling me what I suspect she has always wanted to.

And this one?  Well, this one just makes me want to snuggle that sweet baby.
