Stocking Stuffers, Perhaps?

This morning, I visited one of our family’s favorite places… Puppy Paws!

I was asked to photograph some of their current puppies and can I just tell you how badly I have puppy fever now, as a result?  I want one.  Specifically, I want this one because she reminds me SO much of my Malani… only she is, hands-down the most calm Shih Tzu baby I have EVER seen!

Or this one, maybe.

I mean LOOK at this face…

Sheesh I just want them all, they are SO flippin’ cute.  And what better Christmas gift than one of these little furbabies?

Please do yourself a favor and go get one of these. :) Stop in & see their adorableness at 221 Commercial Drive in Centerton. Or, you can call Puppy Paws at 479-795-8969 & while you’re at it, be sure & “like” their Facebook page!

PS – if you’re looking for a groomer, Mindy & Tara are THE BEST out there.  I wouldn’t trust my girls to anyone else, they keep us looking fabulous.  :)

Smack in the middle of Fall family photos, Kyla’s senior session was a super nice treat for me.  A quick little change of pace from what the last few months have been – and oh, how I loved nearly every photo from her session.  I narrowed it down to just a few of my faves, though…

Just a few of my faves from this session…  :)

Just until…

So many sessions to blog.  So many more to edit.

So, until I can get back here to post the rest, please use this happiness to tide yourselves over.  :)

No way, no how am I going to let this family sneak by without making an appearance on the ol’ blog.  Nope.  Not under my watch.

Mini-Workshop with 2Katie Designs + A Giveaway!

Um, am I excited?  Yes.  Yes, I am.

You all probably know already that this past weekend was part one of the first snap! workshop.  Of course, I’m a little biased (participants, feel free to chime in here if I’m totally delusional), but I had an absolute blast teaching the ladies in my first group!  I admit that secretly, I always wanted to be a teacher.  I even majored for a short time in early education.  I never really followed through on that because life had other plans for me… but lookout world, here I am.  And I’m gonna keep teaching.

In fact, I’m so happy to announce a partnership with 2Katie Designs that is going to allow me to do just that.

At the end of this month, I will be co-hosting a mini-workshop with the 2 Katies!!

Here’s the blurb from our Facebook pages:

2Katie Designs is teaming with Melissa Campbell of Preserved Photography to offer an evening of learning about the one thing most important in scrapbooking… how to better photograph your kids!

This class is sure to provide a wealth of information (including stuff you never even knew you needed to know) about working specifically with kids. We’ll touch on all the important things – working with light, tips/tricks for photographing kids and pets (maybe even families, if you’re feeling brave) – and time will be allowed for a Q&A session, so bring your creative mind!

Class cost of $35 inludes workshop, tips & technique reference tag book, snacks, fun & prizes!

Please note – you do NOT need to own a DSLR camera to attend the workshop with 2Katies!

To register for this class, click here!

(and while you’re at it, register for the other AMAZING classes that 2Katies offer!)

Now…  how about that giveaway?

One lucky class participant is going to win 50% off registration for my full snap! workshop in the month of January 2011!

That’s right.  Come learn with us on November 30th and you can be registered to win the full workshop!  See, I love you guys.  :)

What a blast I had with this family… I have so many hilarious candid shots of these 2 kids, I can’t wait to share them all with mom & dad. Til then, here’s this…

Pic-Or-Treat 2010

What a blast yesterday was!  I loved getting to see all my little nuggets in their costumes, contributing to their sugar highs… Pic-Or-Treat is one of my favorite days of the year.  :)

I had so much fun… even if I had to turn the place into “Sears” portrait studio for the day. Ha. In case I haven’t mentioned to you guys – I am not a fan of editing white seamless backdrop paper… so, I decided that the kids were cute even if the edits weren’t perfect (or anywhere near it).  Play along with me, mkay?

And, here’s one I’m super proud of simply because Miss Charli initially was having NO part of Pic-Or-Treat then, suddenly, had a change of heart when she saw The Mad Hatter arrive!

If you wanna see more from yesterday’s event, head on over to my Facebook page!

In case I never get a chance to tell you guys this again, I’ve decided one of my favorite type of kids are kids who can spontaneously burst into laughter.  For no apparent reason.  I love that.

A few more from yesterday’s mini-session with the H crew…

maybe he’s starting to like me

I still can’t tell.
